I call my photographs PICTURES.I do not see myself as only recording the world so much as expressing my feeling about what I see. In this, my creative photography is more like painting.
Photography can pass the borders of the functional and become an art with its own vision of the world.
Some of my work is impressionistic, catching mood, moment and sensation through light and dark, colour and shadow, trying to see in the darkness, to get beneath the skin of things.
Such photography is not accidental. It requires an open mind for the
"decisive moment"(as Cartier Bresson said).
